Ian has been working with wood ever since he could remember. It all started with putting together scraps from his dad’s pile of offcuts. Ian went on to apprentice with his uncle and several other builders during his teenage years. After completing an honors degree at York University Ian went full time into the construction industry and never looked back.

Ian has since spent 10 years doing renovations in Toronto, followed by 8 years working for high end companies in Muskoka building luxury cottages.

These days, nestled in the Almaguin Highlands, you’ll find Ian building and creating pieces in his workshop, as well as touring around Muskoka assisting home owners and local contractors with their projects. And from time to time you’ll even find him in Toronto for the odd project.

After nearly 20 years in the construction industry, Ian has found that he is happiest working and collaborating directly with homeowners, bringing their visions to life and making a positive impact in their everyday lives.
